Purchasing pallet loads can be beneficial for businesses that have a consistent need for a particular product or have the storage capacity to accommodate large amounts of inventory. The amount of product that can fit onto a pallet varies depending on the size, weight, and packaging of the products being purchased.
Buying in bulk at a truckload size can be a cost-effective way for businesses to acquire inventory for their own use, or to resell to customers. However, it's important to ensure that the business has the necessary storage space and demand for the products before making a large purchase, in order to avoid excess inventory or storage issues.
A "build your own" load size is a flexible option for businesses to purchase inventory in a customized size or quantity. With this option, businesses can choose the specific products and quantities they want to purchase, based on their needs and available budget, without being restricted by pre-set lot sizes or product assortments.
Excess and overstock inventory refers to goods that a business has in surplus of its immediate needs or anticipated demand. This can happen due to a variety of reasons, such as overestimating demand, changes in consumer preferences, or forecasting errors. To recoup some of the costs and free up storage space, businesses may choose to liquidate this inventory.
When customers return items to online retailers, the items are often inspected and sorted for resale. However, some items may not meet the requirements for resale as new and may be sold through liquidation channels at a discounted price. Some retailers include but are not limited to Walmart, Amazon, Target, Lowes, Home Depot, Etc.
Store-returned merchandise can include items that were opened or used, didn't fit properly, or were not as described. Buyers should be aware that the merchandise may have some damage or missing parts due to being returned. Stores include but are not limited to Walmart, Amazon, Target, Lowes, Home Depot, CVS, Meijer, Coty, and many more.
Shelf-pulled items have been removed from store shelves for various reasons, such as store resets, discontinued products, or close-dated products. Store resets involve rearranging the store layout, resulting in the removal of some items to make room for new ones. Close-dated products are those nearing their expiration date or have already expired, making them unsellable at full price.
Salvage inventory liquidation refers to the process of selling off damaged, defective, or otherwise unusable products in order to recoup some of their value. Salvage inventory can result from a variety of circumstances, such as shipping or handling damage, manufacturing defects, or returns from customers.
